Distance in Drug Rehab

We get referral ask for drug and alcohol rehab centers everyday.  Many requests.  At least 50% of the calls get start out like do you know of a good rehab in San Antonio?  Or do you know of a good rehab in Billings?  Do you know of a good rehab in Tampa?  You get the notion.  Most clients who phone are looking for something in their own neighborhood.  I know it is nice to be close to home.  The travel cost is small.

There is another factor to consider is what you want to achieve.  The point of going to an alcohol or drug rehab is to get off of drugs for good.  While that is achieved every day by countless folks, one thing for certain it that it

is not neccessarily easy.  whether it were easy you would have quit already.  whether it were easy you could just read something and do it at home.  Most clients going to rehab have had a significant addiction for an extended period of instance.  The patterns for the drug and alcohol abuse are well defined.  To break these patterns it is best to get away from your normal enviroment.  The further you go the better.  The more distance amidst you and your drug using friends, the safer you are in the first few months.  So whether you live in Tampa, the question you might want to ask is, where is a great rehab a distant, distant way from Tampa?  Just a suggestion.
